This week it's come to light that a Starbucks caramel Frappuccino with semi-skimmed milk contains 48.5g of sugar, which is equal to 12 teaspoons. The NHS health advice suggests a maximum of 30g of free (i.e. added) sugar a day.Guess how much sugar a human body needs per day?Around ONE teaspoon for the whole gallon and a half of blood that the average person has running through their veins. And guess what? Our liver makes that for usSo ANY excess sugar is unnecessary.
For a type 2 Diabetic, not only is it unnecessary, it's lethal; maybe not instantly, but long term.
On average a type 2 Diabetic has 6 less years of life. Human lifespan is reducing for the first time in human history.
Cancer, Diabetes, Alzheimer's are all on the rise.ALL of these are inflammation based diseases.Sugar causes and exacerbates inflammation. But NHS health advice suggests a maximum of 30g of free sugar a day.
