Capitalism is killing us

In a capitalist society, it is the job of a business to sell more of whatever it provides.

In recent times it has also become generally acceptable to sell as much as you can of the cheapest product at the highest markup, therefore maximising the financial interests of the shareholders.

Disappointingly standard practice.

So generally, standards and quality have dropped across the board.

Where does this matter the most?

When it’s the food industry diminishing the nutritional value of the food you eat.

When they engineer the food that is of low nutritional value to make it more addictive so they can sell more per units per person.

How do they do that?

By adding sugar to most of it.

Sugar is known to be as addictive as heroin.

So really, the food industry is just doing its job to make as much profit for its shareholders as possible.

Is it their problem if it makes you sick?

Not really.
